HISTORY
Alto El Vapor is the result of a Costa Rican family venture originating from Santa María de Dota, a rural area internationally known for the high quality of its coffee. Led by a single mother and her two daughters and son, this project aims to make a lasting impact in the coffee production chain by adding value to the product, seeking better and fairer opportunities in both the national and international markets. Committed to social and environmental well-being, they view the production and processing of any food item as a process that should unfold sustainably. Their coffee is cultivated at the Alto el Vapor Farm, which boasts 90% mountain conservation and natural springs that even supply water to a part of the Santa María de Dota community.
