The ANEI association was founded in 1995 by an indigenous woman, Aurora María Izquierdo, with the aim of using coffee as a vector to promote their indigenous culture.
ANEI has been producing organic coffee for 25 years and brings together more than 600 producing families from 4 different indigenous communities in the Sierra Nevada region in the north of the country.
The association is made up mainly of women. They receive training in new coffee techniques and can access microcredit and school grants for their children.
This coffee has been transported under sail in association with TOWT.
Sailing, as the main propulsion, is a lever for economic development in trade and allows us to foresee a real energy transition to face the climate and energy challenge we face.
